.:: Back again

A new layout, eventhough I have not been writing much these days.
Doesn't mean you can't change your frock even if you don't shower that regularly right!

Changes I've made to the blog this time round:

  • Decided to do away (once again) with the chatterboard: nobody writes on them anymore and I am getting annoying pop-ups.
  • Decided to keep only 1mth under the Archives section: nobody reads them anyway.
  • Decided not to have announcements at the sidebar: saves me trouble from editing them and yes, nobody reads them anyway haha
  • Brought back the comment boxes; actually I prefer them to chatterboxes.

Here is a short update on what has been going on my life:

School
I started school on 16th Aug.
Do your math and you will realise I am currently into my 2nd week.

I am taking 5 modules...

  1. Quantitative methods
  2. Consumer Behaviour
  3. Technology & World Change
  4. Marketing Research
  5. Introduction to French Literature

And I have a 4 day week, 2 days afternoon classes and 2 days morning classes. I have to say, afternoon classes are very disruptive and very bad for health. They occur right in the middle of the day and frankly, your can't do much work in the morning before class, unless you wake up pretty early. And after class, it's already 5 or 7pm and you don't get much time too before bedtime. I mean, the day just seems so much shorter when you have afternoon classes!

I am not coping well, thank you for your concern.
The readings are piling up and I am oblivious to what is going on in class.
Not that I have not been paying attention, I'm fine when learning is concerned.
I have no idea what is going on with regards to projects and assignments.
Urgh am I the only one in such a daze?

SAS/SSU
SMU Association of Sports is on its way to becoming a CBd and will thus be know as SMU Sports Union.
Bah.
Terribly creative but at least people will stop thinking tat SAS=SA (Students' Association).
That really gets on my nerves.
I'd rather people never heard of SAS than associate us with a bunch of _______.
Fill in the blank yourself. Hmmm..any negetive words would be fine haha.

Recently, SAS/SSU had a war with the SA but I shall not elaborate cos it's a bloody long story.
It is somewhere along the line of...budget, undermining authority and stepping on toes.
But boy am I glad that I will be stepping down soon!
About 6 more weeks and after the elections, I'd be free!
You have no idea how long I've waited for this day to arrive!
Haha, note that all my above sentences regarding stepping down and being free all ended in exclaimation marks hehe!
Oh well, I know I will still have to guide the newbie along but I don't see it as hell.
What could be more hellish than being FC of SAS?
Fortunately, everything will be over soon.
Those which did not kill me, will make me stronger!

Remind me to write an entry on the day I step down and I shall share with everyone my most wonderful experience of my days as SAS FC.
Opps! I think the sarcasm detector just went off!

Part time job
I am working part time in a clinic at Telok Blangah and I kinda like working there.
It's nice to have some medical knowledge and I guess the notion of being a doctor never really went away.
I've always wanted to be a MSF- Médecins Sans Frontières and that translates to "Doctors without Borders".
But my ambition was cruelly taken away from me in sec 3 as my grades were not good enough to qualify for Biology.
Ah yes, the education system sucks. BIG TIME!

Life
I am trying to get a life you see.
After 2 years of slaving for SAS, it's high time I do something I like.
So I am attending courses now.
Windsurfing, Topper sailing and...maybe Salsa!

Hello I'm Millie and I could be sashaying into a ballroom near you ;)

Yup! I did it again!
I was crappy and corny.

By the way, I really love corn.
-Corny alarm goes off again-
